The “Filio Chaidemenou” Museum of Asia Minor Hellenism publishes the dissertation of Konstantinos Chatzinikolis, written as part of the Master’s Programme “Creative Writing” of the School of Humanities of the Hellenic Open University, considering that it thus highlights the educational archival material held by the Museum. The author discusses the historical context of the social and cultural life of the Greeks of Asia Minor in the late 19th and early 20th century. Extensive reference is made to the organisation of education and to the educational institutions that operated in Asia Minor during this period. The sources used were records of the educational activity of the Greeks of Asia Minor, as well as archival material of the “Filio Chaidemenou” Museum.
